1a – David Koch, Director Global Procurement, Fosters Group Ltd.
1b - David Henchliffe, CPO, Santos
David Henchliffe is the Chief Procurement Officer at Santos. He joined the supply chain profession in 1987 when he was commissioned from the Royal Military College, Duntroon. He then served in a series of supply chain related field appointment as a junior officer. After studying in the United Kingdom he was a Project Manager for a range of capital equipment projects within Defence. He then moved into the strategic and contingency planning arena with responsibility for the supply chain aspects. After leaving the Army he joined Santos as the Manager Supply Chain Services and now leads both the Procurement & Logistics functions within Santos. He has had extensive experience in the areas of sourcing, supplier relationship management, logistics, project management, organisational leadership and change management. He has an Honours degree in Science and Master degrees in Management, Arts (Military Science, Technology & Management) and Defence Studies. He was the 100th member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply – Australia and is also a member of the City & Guilds of London Institute and the Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia
1c - David Gardiner, Managing Director Consulting, The Portland Group
David Gardiner is ANZ Consulting MD for the Portland Group. Dave joined Portland Group in 2002 and since then has led procurement improvement programmes with a number of large manufacturing and retail organisations. He started his career as an engineer with Shell Exploration & Production and thereafter enjoyed a seven-year career with Mars Europe. Dave held numerous change management roles in supply chain driving cross-cultural business unit initiatives (eg. supplier integration).
1d – Hugh Wareham, CEO, Ecobuy
ECO-Buy was established in 2000 as a local government buy recycled program. It is now a not for profit organisation with the purpose of increasing the demand for and use of environmentally preferable products, and has been described as Australia’s leading environmental purchasing program. Its membership includes 75% of Victorian local government and a number of large businesses including Toyota, Origin Energy and Cadbury Schweppes. Hugh’s last role was as Director and deputy to Victoria’s Commissioner for Environmental Sustainability.
2a – Marny Foad, Sourcing & Procurement Lead, Accenture Australia
2b – Jeffery Westbrook, Executive General Manager Strategic Sourcing, Suncorp-Metway
Jeff is responsible for leading a team of professionals in the design, implementation and management of strategic sourcing frameworks using the most appropriate traditional and non-traditional sourcing methods, either singularly or in selective combination: In-sourcing (capability building), Supply chain sourcing, Onshore outsourcing, Near shore outsourcing and Offshore outsourcing. Jeff has a background in economics, health sciences, financial services, management and business.

2c- Craig Lardner, MCIPS, Group Procurement Director, George Weston Foods
Craig Lardner is Director of Procurement at George Weston Foods. He oversees a spend over $ 1Billion across 5 distinct divisions spanning Australia and New Zealand. He has held senior positions in The BOC Group, is a member of the Institute of Directors and an active member of CIPS in Australia.
2d – Scott Alden, Partner, DLA Phillips Fox
Scott practices in both the private and public sector, on large strategic projects and infrastructure projects, and advises clients in relation to procurement and probity.
Scott has specific expertise in:
• Government infrastructure projects (primarily State)
• General contractual and legislative advice and the tendering process (at all levels of government)
• Government capital and services procurement and
• Infrastructure contracts and performance.

Scott is also highly regarded in the areas of water, public transport infrastructure and IT requirements. He advises on tender processes including drafting reports, methodology documents and tender evaluation, contractual negotiation, legislative advice work and legislative compliance and audit services.
Scott is Chair of the Business Law Committee of the Law Society of NSW as well as a Councillor and is the Immediate Past President of NSW Young Lawyers.
3a – Dr John Gattorna, MCIPS, Foundation Professor, CIPSA, Adjunct Professor at MGSM (Sydney) and Chair Industry Advisory Board, ILSCM, Victoria University (Melbourne)
Over the last 25 years, John Gattorna has earned an international reputation in the supply chain management field. He is a renowned lecturer and task force leader, and has a strong conceptual capacity, combined with a pragmatic approach to solving complex business problems. John is also a prolific writer, having published 10 books and numerous articles in his areas of interest. John was one of the original co-developers of the 'Strategic Alignment' concept, now renamed ‘Dynamic Alignment’.
3b – David Smith MCIPS CBE, Commercial Director, UK Dept of Work & Pensions
David Smith is the commercial director for the UK’s Department for Work and Pensions, the biggest Central Government Department, and is accountable for its overall procurement spend of in excess of £4 billion per year. He has specialised in procurement and commercial matters in the Public Sector for nearly 25 years. Before moving to DWP, he was Head of Procurement for the Inland Revenue and has previously held senior commercial posts in the Home Office and HM Treasury’s Central Unit on Procurement (now OGC). He is a past member of the CIPS Board of Management and the CIPS Council and was made a Companion of the Most Honourable Order of Bath (CB) in the Queen’s New Year Honours 2009.
3c – Dr Lynda Bourne PMP, Director, Stakeholder Management P/L
Dr Lynda Bourne DPM, PMP, CMACS is a recognised international authority on stakeholder engagement and the ‘Stakeholder Circle’ visualisation tool. She has worked with organisations in Australia and Europe assisting them to manage change through use of this methodology to understand and manage the relationships essential for successful delivery of organisational outcomes.
Dr Bourne has presented at conferences and seminars in Europe, Russia, Asia, USA, New Zealand and Australia to audiences of managers and project managers in the IT, construction, defence and mining industries. She has published papers in many academic and professional journals and contributed her ideas to books on procurement and construction stakeholder management. Her book: Stakeholder Relationship Management is due for publication August 2009.
She is adjunct assistant Professor at UMUC in the US, teaching Masters level PM courses.
3d – Dr Bola Afolabi FCIPS, General Manager SAP Project, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.
Dr Bola Afolabi was appointed the CIPS President in 2008, the first non-European to occupy the position. He is general manager and project director leading the SAP implementation at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Africa’s largest oil and gas corporation. Dr Afolabi spent over 23 years with Shell International Oil & Gas where he worked in many senior Supply Chain positions in Africa, Europe and America. He has a Ph.D. in Regional Development & Environmental Science and has ever worked as a Supply Chain practitioner in addition to continuous development through academic research and teaching.
4a – Denis Henry, Managing Director, Grosvenor Management Consulting
For over 15 years Denis has been leading a team which provides strategic and tactical advice to major enterprises in relation to all aspects of procurement and contract performance management. Denis has beena project lead on some of the largest outsourcing contracts offered in Australia and has developed many of the techniques used by organisations to transform their organisational structures and approaches to contracting. He has also been responsible for developing the majority of the course materials for the CIPS’ Open Training and In company courses.
4b – Michael Kirk, Managing Director, The Faculty Management Consultants
Michael Kirk is the Managing Director of The Faculty and has experience in Procurement, Technology, Strategy and Logistics across a range of industries.
Michael is recognised as a trusted advisor to the commercial leaders of many of Australia’s leading companies. He is regularly featured as a conference speaker and frequently conducts public and tailored training courses.
With The Faculty since its inception, Michael has delivered many of The Faculty’s landmark projects including:-
• Designing and conducting The Faculty's procurement benchmarking study for over 25 large Australian organisations
• Developing and writing the Federal Government's Strategic Guide to E-Procurement to advise Government agencies on how best to implement E-Procurement
• Managing the implementation of an SAP SRM Source to Contract software across the operations of a large resources company
• Developing procurement and procure-to-pay strategies for leading Australian and international corporations

Michael joined The Faculty after an extensive career with BHP Billiton, the world’s largest resources company, including roles in Corporate, IT, and Transport and Logistics. He has an MBA from Melbourne Business School and an Honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Adelaide.
4c - Trevor Cameron, Chief Procurement Officer, Fortescue Metals Group
Trevor recently joined Fortescue Metals Group as CPO, having recently been employed as Group Manager Procurement Iluka Resources Limited. In his previous roles he was the Director Global Supply Chain Management for a major Malaysian based mining services company, a non executive Director for of a Singapore based intermediate bulk container company, a Principal in the IBM Global Services Supply Chain Consulting Practice, and General Manager Global Procurement Chain for a global manufacturing organisation.
Trevor has a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Masters Degree in Management with a major in supply chain management.

Terence is a lawyer and managing director of Public Private Partnerships Pty Limited (PPP), a specialist consulting firm providing advisory services to public and private sector organisations in the creation and management of contractual relationships.
PPP provides advisory services to government and private sector organisations on professional contract management, including:

5b - Tom Pearson MCIPS, Group General Manager - Procurement, PaperlinX
Tom Pearson is the former chair of an informal corporate roundtable that was instrumental in inviting CIPS to Australia. With wide procurement experience in Australia and the UK, Tom is also the former Director Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management at Telstra.
5c – Robert Pease MCIPS, Principal Consultant, The Faculty Management Consultants
Robert is a highly experienced procurement practitioner with extensive global experience having recently returned from several years based in Europe where he led the strategy, capability development and compliance function across the global procurement organisation of FMCG company, Cadbury Schweppes, influencing a spend of multiple billions.
Robert has lived and worked in both Asia and Europe, has a Bachelor of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from The University of Tasmania and a Masters Degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
5d – Paul Rogers FCIPS, Practice Manager, PMMS Consulting Group
Paul's first job was as a procurement trainee in the UK NHS in 1981, and Paul has worked as a procurement practitioner in health, education and local government. Paul has also worked as an academic in a business school before becoming a procurement consultant in the 1990s. Since coming to Australia in 2001, Paul has worked with State governments, the Defence Materiel Organisation, Local Authorities and Universities, as well as State owned enterprises. He is a Fellow of CIPS
6a - Enrico Rizzon, Director, The Portland Group
Enrico graduated from Adelaide University with an Honours Degree in Engineering and has an MBA from Melbourne Business School. He has over 15 years experience with ICI/Orica working in all divisions. Enrico has held both business management and senior change management roles driving cross-cultural business unit initiatives (eg. Procurement, M&A Integration and Restructuring). Enrico joined Portland Group in 2005 to lead its Melbourne Office and since then has led numerous procurement and profit improvement projects in the industrial and FMCG sectors across both medium sized and large companies.
6b – Brad Harrison, Principal, Rhaisorn P/L
Brad has in excess of 30 years of management and operational experience in the supply chain, has been instrumental in delivering significant business change through process redesign, cost reduction, systems improvement, people development and leadership for a broad range of industries. His experience includes food, pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods, building and transport/third party logistics businesses.
Qualifications include a Bachelor of Business, a Graduate Diploma of Management and TAFE Certificate qualifications in Purchasing & Supply; and Packaging.
Memberships include the Logistics Association of Australia (President in 2008 and 2009), the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply Australia, the Australian Institute of Packaging, the Australian Institute of Management and the Institute of Management Consultants.
Since embarking on a consulting career in 2003, the focus has been to use this business unit management and profit responsibility skills on delivering significant supply chain improvement services to clients.

6d - Professor Guy Callender FCIPS
Guy Callender is the Foundation Professor and Chair of Leadership of Strategic Procurement at Curtin Business School. He has a substantial practitioner and professional background in procurement, organization change, accounting and finance and commercial history. He has a strong interest in ensuring that procurement practice benefits from the applied research being conducted in universities. Guy is also closely involved in developing educational qualifications that enable procurement practitioners to develop procurement as the science of buying and supply.
