About the Conference Programme

As you will see on the following pages, we have four plenary/keynote sessions and six seminar sessions forming the bulk of the main conference programme. Included in the seminar sessions on day one are four CPO Agenda Masterclasses, providing a deeper examination of four key topics. For an explanation of the overall theme of the conference - "The Perfect Storm" and the four sub-themes framing the seminar sessions - please Click here to view the welcome letter from Jonathan Dutton, Managing Director of CIPS Australia & New Zealand.

We will be finalising the seminar programme and publishing speaker names over the next few weeks.

Seminar Sessions

Delegates will be asked when registering, to select those seminars which they would like to attend. This means choosing one of four running concurrently.

When completing your registration, please be careful to ensure you correctly indicate those seminars that you wish to attend. Your seminar selections will be printed on your name badge and in the event that the seminars are over-subscribed (if the room is full), we will only allow in those people who have previously stated their intention to attend that seminar.

Those delegates registering early to take advantage of the early bird booking rate, may nominate their seminars at a later stage.

Networking Events

Of course a key benefit in attending a conference such as this, is the opportunity it affords to network with your peers and suppliers of relevant goods and services. Lunch on both days will be served buffet style in the Purchasing Exchange, allowing delegates the opportunity to browse the booths, renew old acquaintances, and make new ones.

At the conclusion of formal proceedings on Day 1 drinks will be served in the Purchasing Exchange for those who are going straight on through to the main evenings entertainment. This has proved to be a particularly strong networking occasion for the last two years.

The CIPS Australia Procurement Professional Awards Dinner

The networking highlight of the conference will again undoubtedly be The 3rd CIPS Australia Procurement Professional Awards Dinner. Featuring the presentation of the Awards, and the CIPSA Essay Award, the Dinner promises to be a special occasion, recognizing and honoring the best of the profession.

Attendance at the Dinner can be booked separately from the conference if you are unable to attend the conference programme. Please submit your dinner registration as per the instructions on the registration page.

If you have any queries regarding the programme please do not hesitate to contact myself or the team at CIPSA Conferences (contact details on Contact us page)

Thanks to all of our speakers and sponsors for their support and I look forward to seeing you in Melbourne,
