The CIPSA Strategic Procurement Forum Brisbane will provide a mixed programme, focussing on key issues common to all procurement practitioners, providing delegates with excellent education and networking opportunities. A first for CIPSA Conferences, this event has been scheduled for a Friday, at the request of the Qld Regional Committee, with the aim of hosting the end of year drinks party immediately following.

Featuring a wider agenda than ever before, the 7th CIPSA Public Sector Procurement Forum offers something for all public sector Procurement Professionals. Day One will have two seminar streams themed along ‘strategic’ and ‘tactical’ lines while Day Two will feature the always-popular range of practical half-day workshops on issues key to public sector procurement. In a further departure from previous forums, sponsors and exhibitors will have the opportunity to maintain their presence on Day Two, thereby creating greater opportunities for both buyers and suppliers to engage effectively in a pre-budget timeframe and all in the surrounds of our new venue at the Hotel Realm. The programme will be released before Christmas for ‘early bird’ bookings.

New opportunities and new benefits in New Zealand are set for unveiling at the 6th CIPS NZ Strategic Procurement Forum which will signal the direction of expansion of CIPS in New Zealand. For the first time the forum will also include practical half-day workshops throughout Day Two: a format that has proved very popular at other professional forums. Day One will have a mixed programme focussed on exploring the key issues faced by modern Procurement practitioners directly, relevant to sourcing roles in New Zealand.

The CIPSA Strategic Procurement Forum returns to Perth with a focus on general or indirect procurement and an all-new Day Two of practical half-day workshops; a format that has proved very popular at other forums. Day One’s mixed programme will tackle key issues directly relevant to all procurement practitioners in the West while the workshops on Day Two provide delegates with more opportunity to improve knowledge as well as network with peers.

The inaugural CIPSA CPO Agenda 100 Forum in 2011 was such an outstanding success that while full programme details for the 2012 event are still being finalised, the event dates have been published so people can ‘block-out’ the time in their diaries. This forum is for the elite of the profession where 100 CPOs from leading organisations across the region have the opportunity to think through and discuss the vital issues and challenges facing both their profession and their roles as leaders. Formal invitations will be sent out early in 2012 with full programme details released slightly later.

Having only just closed the books on the 7th Annual Conference, the two words being used to describe the 8th Annual Conference are ‘bigger, better’; all to provide delegates with an even more rewarding experience. A ‘procurement unique’ IT expo, significantly revised layout, an enhanced trade show featuring a broader range of suppliers and improvements to the format of the CIPSA PP Awards Dinner are among the developments currently being finalised. These enhancements will ensure that the CIPSA Annual Conference continues to be the premier procurement event in the region.
