About Category Week
This will be one of the major events for the profession in Australasia in 2012. Offering flexible attendance options and the best elements of a number of popular events – all on the same programme, Category Week is a ‘do not miss’ addition to the CIPSA Conferences Schedule.
By bringing together - in one week and at one location - elements of the ‘Category Management Forum’, ‘Special Category Forum’ and ‘Use of Technology in Procurement’, time-poor delegates can go to a bit – or the lot; flexibly selecting elements of the programme most relevant to individual needs.
Category Week highlights include:
· Half-day Category Specific Forums on key indirect categories, featuring a number of presenters, providing the latest in supply market intelligence and best-practice thinking on their particular category.
· A plenary programme addressing vital issues, fundamental to all aspects of category management.
· A one-day programme related to best-practice use of technology in procurement.
· Half-day practical ‘skills-based’ workshops
· A greatly enhanced trade show with exhibitors changing from one day to the next to ensure relevance to the specific session content of the day. The opportunity to view brief demonstrations of leading procurement support technologies in organised ‘speed viewing’ sessions (a format that has proved very popular at the Use of Technology in Procurement events held in the past year in Sydney, Auckland and Melbourne)
· Optional Social and Networking Functions at the end of each day.
Details on the structure and content of Category Week will be published shortly.
