Managing the supply chain in uncertain times

Volatility and turbulence are the hallmarks of today's business environment.  Against a backdrop of continued economic uncertainty and financial pressure, many organisations are recognising that supply chain management holds the key to survival.  Those same companies are also learning that the classic forecast driven approach to supply chain planning - which worked well under conditions of stability - is no longer appropriate in a turbulent and unpredictable world.  Instead new ways of working must be adopted which enable a higher degree of agility to enable the business to respond to events as they happen.  In short, we must become demand-driven rather than forecast driven.

  •  The new rules of competition
  • Are current supply chains fit for purpose?
  • Coping with volatility and complexity
  • Creating a responsive and resilient supply chain
  • Implications for supply management
