Mark Rivers
Mark is the head of Rio Tinto’s Emerging Markets procurement team, based in Shanghai. His career with Rio Tinto has involved major logistics transformation projects across east coast Australia and secondment to Namibia, before becoming the Regional Manager for Procurement for Rio Tinto’s African business units, during which time he was based in Johannesburg for two years. He was admitted to MCIPs in 2010.
Ben Shute
Ben Shute joined CIPSA as head of procurement practice in February 2010. His past roles have included head of sourcing strategy and special projects at Ericsson UK. Before that, at Rank Hovis McDougal, he led the design of a bespoke reverse auction platform and has run in excess of 500 eSourcing events. Ben has also held category management positions at Citigroup and General Motors Holden.

Sue Barrett
Sue Barrett is founder and managing director of Barrett Pty Ltd, which specialises insales training, sales coaching, sales leadership, sales capability, and sales culture transformation. Sue is one of the few prominent female voices commenting on sales today and she combines extensive knowledge, research, insight, and practical experience to bring forth a more enlightened way of thinking and participating in the world. Sue practices as a coach, advisor, speaker, facilitator, consultant and writer and works across all market segments with her skilful team.


Nicola Rabôt
Nicola is a Senior Manager with KPMG and has a multidisciplinary academic background with training in policy, research and social and environmental sciences, specifically the social and political complexities associated with environmental sustainability policy. She was a former Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance Executive responsible for Whole-of-Victorian Government (WoVG) procurement policy.

Nigel Malcolm
Nigel Malcolm is the founder of independent fleet management company Fleetcare. In the 20 years since its inception, Fleetcare has grown to become one of Australia’s leading fleet management companies, operating across the country and blazing a trail for much larger competitors with its constant innovations in service, products and solutions. Now managing over 30,000 vehicles, Fleetcare boasts clients such as Reece Plumbing, Fisher & Paykel, Pfizer and Foster’s Group.

Brad Walters
Brad is general manager, ratings services and chief financial and risk analyst of Corporate Scorecard, where he leads a team of analysts in the provision of credit ratings, viability appraisals and procurement risk assessment services. Corporate Scorecard is a licensed Credit Rating Agency, and is Australia’s leading independent provider of financial assessments and credit ratings. Brad has provided corporate, financial and risk advisory services across a range of industry sectors.

Jason Bradshaw
Jason is director in the transformation management office, NSW Procurement, Department of Services, Technology & Administration. He has applied business passions to the banking, financial, retail, technology and government sectors. Jason has been nominated for multiple National Leadership Awards and links his success and business plan achievements to his passion for delivering to the most important assets of a business:employees and customers.

Dr Sara Cullen
Sara is a former national partner at Deloitte (Australia). She has a leading international profile in contracting and is one of Asia Pacific’s most experienced sourcing advisors. She has consulted to many private and public sector organisations, spanning 51 countries and has designed partnering arrangements, franchise-type agreements, shared risk/reward structures and incentive programmes in addition to traditional arrangements. Sara runs a number of training programmes covering sourcing, negotiation, and contract management for over 400 participants per year.

Stephen Turner
Stephen Turner has 15 years procurement experience but, like most procurement professionals, did not start his working life in this profession. In ten years at the Naval Dockyards in Melbourne he gained qualifications as an electrician, electrical draftsman and a quality assurance officer before relocating to Perth.
Steve then worked for Carrier Air Conditioning for thirteen years, first as a design draftsman, then engineering liaison and air conditioning designer and finally seven years as the Procurement Manager. Eight years ago he joined Wesfarmers and for the last six years has been Manager of Wesfarmers Group Procurement.

John Tondut FCIPS
John is the acting executive director of the Building Management and Works business unit within the WA Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF). John joined DTF in 2003, and has played a key role in the development and implementation of two State Government reform programmes – firstly procurement reform (between 2003 and 2008), and now the works reform agenda. John was awarded the CIPS Leadership Award at the CIPS Australia Professional Awards 2007 for his overall contribution to the profession.

Ron Wood
As the director of Pricing Insight and one of Australia's leading pricing experts, Ron has trained over 750 senior executives in value-based pricing techniques and margin enhancement strategies. With 20 years’ business experience, Ron has wide industry experience across the value chain including food and building manufacturers, wholesalers and retail chains such as Woolworths, Coles, Bunnings and Mitre 10. Ron works closely with sales, marketing and commercial teams to develop value-based pricing solutions for contract negotiations with procurement teams and cost-down consultants working on behalf of customers.

Terri Clementson
Terri Clementson is a Director with Deloitte. Her background includes years in strategy and HR consulting; roles in industry with some of Australia’s largest employers; several stints as CEO of ASX subsidiaries and positions on several Boards. Terri was also the founder of the Australian College of Change Management in 2009. Terri’s career highlights have been phases of ‘extreme’ delivery – developing strategies in Mumbai that impact 1 Million staff; designing operating models in Paris for a professional services firm impacting 52 countries and developing really innovative solutions to some of Australia’s most compelling challenges. Terri is passionate about optimising human performance. She has degrees in Communication & Media; Business Management; Entrepreneurship and is reading for a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience and the signposts it offers regarding Executive high-performance.

Peter McFarlane
Peter Macfarlane is a director of Grosvenor Management Consulting with 18 years’ experience as a consultant, including 13 years advising on strategic sourcing. Grosvenor is a leading provider of strategic sourcing advisory services, with extensive experience in outsourcing , procurement and contract management, particularly of complex services. Peter leads Grosvenor’s Canberra practice and government procurement advisory services, but has also advised major corporates on sourcing strategy.
