The CIPSA Conferences Schedule 2012
2011 saw significant growth in the number of conferences produced under the CIPSA brand, some 22 in all. The year also saw a significant increase in the diversity of the events in terms of content, driven particularly by the introduction of the Special Category Forums.
While the attendance numbers have been exceptionally good all year, we at CIPSA Conferences did find that there was a tendency for events to crowd each other out, making it hard to ensure that we were targeting our marketing effectively for each event.
After much discussion between CIPSA Conferences and the CIPSA Management team, we have decided for 2012 to rationalise the programme in terms of numbers, with the aim of creating fewer, but larger, events, that deliver greater value to all participants, whether they be delegates, sponsors, speakers or hard-working organisers!
The 2012 Schedule will therefore contain three types of event:
The biggest departure from previous years is the introduction of Category Week – effectively a hybrid of the successful Category Management Forums of recent years and the Special Category Forums introduced in 2011.
